Late night refreshments

‘Late Night Refreshment’

means the supply of hot food or hot drink to members of the public (whether for consumption on or off the premises) between the hours of:-

11.00pm and 5.00am

If you wish to serve hot food or drink between these hours, you will need a Premises licence.

If you are only serving food outside of these hours (i.e. in the daytime) you will not need a licence to trade, but you must still register with us as a food business. More information on registering as a food business.

Mobile snack bars and street trading

If you wish to run a mobile snack bar, you should register with the Local Authority where the vehicle is kept / stored.
It is also worth contacting the Authority (if different) that covers the area where you will be trading. In every case, you should
register with Environmental Health as a food business, however you will only need a Premises licence if you wish to serve hot food or drink between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am .More information on registering as a food business.

You should also note that in any Local Authority area you are only permitted to trade in certain streets.
