We provide strategic direction and leadership on procurement matters for the district council, by managing contract arrangements and provision for a wide range of goods and services for the district council and its partners.

The team includes specialists in Procurement, Partnerships, Contract management and Consultancy, with expertise and experience providing a high quality service and support to all our customers.

We have a commitment to the principles of Best Value procurement including consideration of sustainability, equalities and ethical issues, and aim to work closely with national and local suppliers who wish to trade with the organisation. This is achieved by ensuring that current tenders and contract opportunities are published through a Contracts Database, with information provided within the framework of the procurement strategy, policies, tender procedures and contract procedure rules.

Kennet District Council is a member of the Wiltshire Procurement Federation, working collaboratively with other Wiltshire local authorities and public bodies. This collaboration enables the district council to obtain goods and services at very competitive rates and providing best value by establishing the sharing of good procurement practice.
