Residents of Kennet District are represented by three tiers of Councils - County, District and Town/ Parish. In this section we have set out information in order that you can learn more about the Kennet District Council and how we operate.

The members of the Council, the Councillors, are your elected representatives, and these are the people who make the decisions on your behalf. Each Councillor is elected for a four-year period.

KENNET DISTRICT COUNCIL NOTICE OF VACANCY IN THE OFFICE OF DISTRICT COUNCILLOR

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972 that a casual vacancy has arisen in the office of District Councillor for the UPAVON WARD of the District of Kennet.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held after two written requests from local government electors have been received by the Returning Officer at the following address:
