The programme provides support for highly skilled musicians to work with children and young people, up to and including 18 years of age, in collective music making.

YOUNG PEOPLE:

Local Network Fund
Funding to support locally delivered activities in England for disadvantaged children and young people aged 0 to 19 years. Grant aided activities must fall into one of the four identified themes: aspirations and experiences; economic disadvantage; isolation and access; and children's voices.

Funding for projects which aim to conserve and enhance diverse heritage and/or encourage more people to be involved in their heritage. Projects should also ensure individuals can learn about, have access to and enjoy heritage.

An interim grant scheme which will return in grant aid the difference between 5% and the actual amount spent on VAT (normally 17.5%) on eligible repairs and maintenance to listed buildings which are used principally as public places of worship (extended in the March 2004 Budget to cover the full amount spent on VAT for eligible works carried out on or after 1 April 2004).

AHF - Grants for Feasibility Studies http://www.ahfund.org.uk
This feasibility study grants programme is aimed at helping charities whose main objectives are the preservation of historic buildings, with the first of four key stages of any project involving the acquisition, repair, conservation and re-use of an historic building. The Feasibility Study is an initial appraisal of a project.

You Can Do It Community Awards offered annually by B & Q to twenty community groups, voluntary organisations and charities in the UK. Consisting of up to £5,000 worth of B & Q materials for the renovation and refurbishment of community group premises or community projects.

BUSINESS START UP AND SUPPORT

Whilst Business Links are open to firms of any size, they are primarily aimed at small to medium sized enterprises. They provide a single point of access to a wide range of support services required by a business. Disabled Facilities Grants

Central Heating / Insulation Grants
The Council does not deal with these types of grants, however you may be able to get a grant for heating and insulation improvements
through our partner agency Warm Hearted Homes. More information can found under Grants – Housing Improvement as above.
