Landscapes of Consumption: All Cannings Cross and the Vale of Pewsey at the end of the Bronze Age. This is the second season of fieldwork exploring the prehistoric landscape in the Vale of Pewsey, Wiltshire. The project is jointly directed by Professor John Barrett of the Department of Archaeology, University of Sheffield and David McOmish of English Heritage. The fieldwork will take place from 6th to 19th September and visitors will be welcome to an open day, which will be announced int the next few days. This web excavation diary project is compiled by Kennet District Council. The excavation reports are written by Melanie Pomeroy-Kellinger of KDC. |
