The Council's Environmental Health & Protection department is responsible for enforcing food hygiene legislation at commercial food premises throughout the Kennet district.

This includes :

  • carrying out routine inspections of food premises

  • investigating food complaints

  • giving general advice on food safety to businesses and the general public

  • sampling and testing food products sold in Kennet

  • licensing and registering food premises
