Kennet District Council is an active and influential member of the Wiltshire & Swindon Activity & Sports Partnership (WASP), with membership on the executive board and all of the working groups.

Kennet is fully supportive of the partnership vision:

"During the next three years, more people in Wiltshire will START to participate in appropriate physical activity and sport, more people will STAY active and through activity more people will SUCCEED in achieving their personal goals.

In addition to an increase in participation, there will be enhanced access to facilities and opportunities, better health and well being and a greater level of community safety."

Furthermore, Kennet District Council is committed to meeting the 12 challenges as outlined in First Active, the initial three year strategy of the Wiltshire & Swindon Activity & Sports Partnership.
