Kennet District Council is passionate about arts development and strongly believes that the arts have the power to positively affect individuals and communities.

Furthermore, we believe that everyone is entitled to the same opportunities and access to high quality arts activities and events, irrespective of age, gender, ability, personal circumstances or ethnic origin. The Leisure and Arts Strategy 2005 – 2008 (pdf, 578 KB) outlines the priority areas of work in which we wil be involved during the four year life of the strategy. To achieve our desired outcomes as outlined in the strategy, we are actively involved in the following areas of work:
