At the present time there are 75 designated Conservation Areas within the district. These are described in Conservation Area Statements.



Gradually these are being updated and revised with Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans. The Statements and Appraisals provide supplementary planning guidance and are essential reading for anybody considering alterations or new development.
