Community Transport Bus with Group of People

COMMUNITY TRANSPORT

Kennet District Council supports a number of community transport schemes including Link Good Neighbour Schemes and minibus schemes. Link Good Neighbour Schemes provide assistance to those with permanent or temporary mobility problems. They provide transport for a variety of reasons (attending healthcare appointments, going to the hairdressers, visiting friends in hospital). Link schemes also provide assistance with little jobs such as dog walking, reading to someone, changing a light bulb. If you need some assistance why not call your local link scheme.

Community Minibus Schemes:

Community minibus schemes are also supported by Kennet District Council, some have disabled access and provide transport to local day centres and others provide regular scheduled services to key towns within Kennet including the school run for local village children!

Devizes PHAB Community Transport Scheme
Covers: Provides transport throughout Devizes and parts of Kennet for people with disabilities or mobility problems, in wheelchair accessible minibuses. Regular shopping services run to Devizes, Pewsey, Salisbury and Swindon. It will also travel out of Wiltshire at request of groups and individuals.

East Kennet and District Community Transport Group
Covers: East Kennett, Marlborough, Tidworth, Burbage, Ramsbury and Pewsey.  Provides wheelchair accessible minibus available to elderly or disabled individuals or groups.

Combine Community Bus
Covers: Patney, Chirton and Marden and is available to hire for groups in these locations.

Seend Community Bus
Covers: Provides transport from Seend, Seend Cleeve and Sells Green in a wheelchair accessible minibus, open to everyone, to Melksham and Devizes. Minibus available to groups or individuals at other times.

Covers: Community bus providing services in and around Ramsbury and to Hungerford. Minibus available for groups or individuals at other times. Not suitable for wheelchair users
