A Picture of the Recycling Centre Q.  -  How will I remember what day my recycling is collected?
A.  -  Your recycling is collected on the same day every fortnight on the opposite week to your black wheeled bin.  For further advice, please follow the link for details about collection days in your street.


Q.  -  What do I do if I can't get my recycling box to the kerbside?
A.  -  If you need assistance moving your box to the kerbside, you may be eligible for our assisted collection service.  Please contact Kennet District Council on 01380 724911 for more details or make a request using our online form.


Q.  -  What do I do if the box isn't emptied?
A.  -  If in the unlikely event that your recycling box isn't emptied, please contact Kennet District Council on 01380 724911.  Arrangements will be made to have your recycling box collected.


Q.  -  What happens if I can not fit everything into my black recycling box?
A.  -  If you are regularly filling your recycling box, additional boxes and Hessian sacks for paper are available from the Council offices.  Alternatively, please put excess materials into used carrier bags and leave them next to or on top of the box on collection day.  If you require an additional receptacle, please contact the Council for more details on 01380 724911 or apply online using our online form.


Q.  -   Where can I recycle plastic bottles?
A.  -  Plastic bottles can be recycled at any Household Recycling Centre.  In addition, the Council offers recycling skips to parishes at pre-arranged times.  Please contact your local parish to see if they currently participate in this service.

Q.  -  Will you pick up cardboard from the kerbside?
A.  -  The Council does not currently pick up cardboard from the kerbside.  However, cardboard can be composted at home, taken to your local Household Recycling Centre or placed in one of the Council's parish recycling skips.


Q.  -  Where is my nearest recycling bring site?
A.  -  There are currently Household Recycling Centres at Hopton Industrial Estate, Devizes and at Everleigh near Pewsey.  In addition to this, there are many Neighbourhood Bring Sites throughout the district.  For further details, please contact Kennet District Council on 01380 724911 or email kennet@kennet.gov.uk.


Q.  -  I have seen some recycling skips around, how can I get one for my village?
A.  -  Recycling skips are available from Kennet District Council and can be booked by your parish council.

Q.  -  One of the recycling banks is overflowing, can it be emptied?
A.  -  Please call Kennet District Council on 01380 724911 or email kennet@kennet.gov.uk to report an overflowing recycling bank.


Q.  -  What can currently be recycled at the Recycling Sites?
A.  -  Cans, glass and paper can be recycled at the majority of the Council's bring sites with a greater number of materials being taken at the Household Recycling Centres.
