Q.  -  If my communal refuse bin is full before collection day, what should I do?

A.  -  We will only collect rubbish that is contained in the bins.  Please be considerate to your neighbours and think about what you are throwing away.  If you use your recycling facilities correctly, there shouldn't be a problem with overfilling bins.  However, if there is a recurring problem, please contact your housing association and ask them to contact the Council.

Q.  -  What happens if I can't shut the bin lid?

A.  -  The Council will only empty refuse bins if the lid is firmly closed.  Closed lids keep smells in as well as flies and vermin out.  However, if there is a recurring problem, please contact your housing association and ask them to contact the Council.

Q.  -  How can I get a recycling basket for my flat?

A.  -  Please contact the Council if you are interested in having a recycling basket for your property.
