The Council only has the power to remove vehicles deemded as abandoned, this does not include nuisance vehicles. If the vehicle has not been deemed abandoned it cannot be removed by the Council.
Q. - How long does it take to remove an abandoned vehicle?

Q. - How do I claim my vehicle if it is not abandoned?
A. - If your vehicle has been posted as abandoned and you wish to claim it as yours you must contact us within 24 hours of the notice being placed on the vehicle. To avoid having your vehicle reported as abandoned please ensure that you display a current tax disc. If your vehicle is under a SORN declaration (statutory off road notice) you must arrange to have it stored off the public highway with the landowner's permission.
