Director of Environment & Leisure Services

The Director of Environment and Leisure Services is one of two Corporate Directors at Kennet District Council.  He is responsible for a wide range of ‘outward facing’ services including:-

  • Leisure Centres

  • Leisure and Arts Development

  • Tourism Development

  • Engineering, Design and Property

  • Car Parking

  • Emergency Planning

  • Environmental Enforcement

  • Recycling

  • Administration and Facilities

  • and all of the Council’s outdoor services

Mark is the Director responsible for the Tidworth Community Area and is responsible for a range of cross cutting themes including;

  • Children & Young People

  • Business Continuity

  • Council's Property Portfolio

Mark is also a member of the 'Programme Board' and 'Customer Focus Board' who are working towards setting up the new unitary Wiltshire Council. Mark has recently been appointed to the position of Service Director (Amenity and Leisure) with the new council. This role will give him responsibility for; Leisure Services, Countryside and Public Realm, Waste, Recycling and Cleansing, Amenity Services and Fleet Management.
