Reporting Accidents
If you are an employer, self-employed or in control of work premises, you are required under RIDDOR regulations to report some work-related accidents, diseases and dangerous occurrences.
You must report all of the following
- a death or major injury (when an employee, self-employed person or member of the public is killed or taken to hospital)
- an over 3 day injury (when an employee or self-employed person has an accident at work and is unable to work for over 3 days, but does not have a major injury)
- a work-related disease
- a dangerous occurence (when something happens that does not result in injury but could have done)
All of the above should be reported IMMEDIATELY to the HSE's RIDDOR Incident Contact Centre

you can report the incident to our Environmental Health Department on 01380 724911 as soon as possible.
