This site went live on 5th June.

Greetings and Welcome to the updated Kennet District website. The aim of the update is to improve navigation, accessibility and content. The improvements came about after listening to customer feedback. The design and development work has been carried out internally and supported technically by Walter Eddowes WJE Design (External link) who provided original design elements and training for this livelink site.

Features on the site

Left hand navigation  The content is divided into categories which are themed with  Kennet District Councils branding. As you click on the main links, secondary navigation appears showing the main areas of the section.

Right hand navigation. You will find where appropriate, navigation relating to the page.  This will appear on the right hand side.

Search You can search the site using the search in the top left of the page. We will use the search to give you the content you are looking for. Where content is not found we will be notified and we can then use this information to add new content to the site.

Breadcrumb trail.  You will notice just under the log-on a trail of where you are in the site. You can use this to go back to the area you came from.

Accessibility. We are constantly improving our online accessibility and you will see a text only link in the top right of each of our main website pages. Other features will be added during the year and our other sites accessibility will be improved.  Follow for other versions of the website

A-Z. This is a list of our services which over the next few months will be updated with more services from ourselves and our partners.

Not all the content is in the new site.  We will of course be moving this into the new site and I will be keeping this page updated with all the new features and contents.

I hope you find the improved site a better experience and it improves the way you use our services.
