You’ve put me in temporary accommodation – how long before I get permanently re-housed?
Answer
This will very much depend on your personal situation and how widely you are prepared to spread your search for a home, across the district.
If you have been found not to have caused your own homelessness and have a local connection to the are, you will receive a 3 month priority card to help you bid for a suitable permanent home through the ‘homes@kennet’ lettings scheme.
If you have not found anything suitable during the 3 months, ‘homes@kennet’ (External link) will reserve a property for you that you will meet your immediate needs. However, if you refuse this offer there will be no further guaranteed offers and you will need to wait your turn on the housing register.
