Kennet District Council operates a fortnightly kerbside recycling service to residents from a black box. Materials that are collected through this scheme include paper, cans and tins, glass, silver foil, aerosols and textiles.
The Council has expanded its kerbside multi material recycling service to 100% of the district. This will supplement the current Bring Sites within towns and villages and the Household Recycling Centres at Everleigh, and Hopton Industrial Estate, Devizes.
Kennet District Council has a duty to ensure that all land in its direct control which is open to the air, and to which the public has access, is kept clear of litter and refuse, so far as practicable, under the Environment Protection Act 1990.

Kennet District Council operates a fortnightly refuse collection service from a wheeled bin. All bins must be placed out in a safe position adjacent to the nearest kerbside highway by 7.00am on the morning of the collection.
Bin lids must be closed with no side waste present.
Residents are reminded that if they present their waste incorrectly, their waste will not be collected.
Assisted collections can also be arranged for disabled or infirm residents.

Kennet District Council offers a ‘by appointment' chargeable bulky collection service. There is a concession for residents receiving Kennet Benefits (Housing & Council Tax).

The Council currently operates a fortnightly, collection service for garden waste.
For a small annual charge the council will provide a Green Garden Waste wheeled bin, which will be emptied fortnightly, on the same day as your black recycling box. The waste collected will be sent for composting.
