Service Pledge
We will endeavour to carry out the following;
- Refuse and recyclate to be collected on the prescribed day
- Arrange an appointment and collect as agreed bulky waste items
- Ensure that 100% of the District receives a kerbside recycling service of glass, paper, cans and textiles
- Sweep all kerbed roads at least once every 13 weeks
- Empty all litter bins fortnightly
- Ensure that town centres have a manual sweeping presence for the core of the day
- Clean all public conveniences at least once a day
- Respond to and clear incidents of fly-tipping within 24 hours
- Cut the Council’s grass during the growing season
- Attend to the Council’s sewerage disposal units and ensure they work to environment agency standards
- Inspect all reports of abandoned vehicles within 24 hours
- Arrange for and ensure all abandoned vehicles are removed within 24 hours
- Inspect all the Council’s play areas once a week
- To provide amenity lighting in areas of need and ensure repairs are undertaken within 7 days
- Ensure all contacts with customers is handled courteously and professionally
- Ensure that all services, where possible, are available to all residents.
